Using My Semantic Search < Previous                                Next > Adding new files to a FileTable

Once connected to a SQL Server instance, you can create a new database that supports new FileTables right from the application. At the left of the application’s screen you can see the Search Options section, which deals with the SQL Server instance, the Databases, and the FileTables.

Creating a database and a FileTable

  1. Click Create FileTable.
  2. In the Create a FileTable dialog, check that the Create a new database checkbox is selected.
  3. Write a name for the new database.
  4. Write a name for the FileTable.
  5. Click Create.

You’ll find that the new database and the FileTable are now listed and selected.
