Error retrieving document tags

Jun 18, 2012 at 2:30 PM

Hi

Install was fine and everything appears to be working as expected, except from tags. When I click on a document I get the following error:

Error retrieving document tags.
Database: Demo
FileTable: DemoFileTable
Document List: '5c7054cb-48b9-e111-a488-f0bf97169164'

Not sure if it's something I've missed on my part so will continue investigating. Any assistance would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Stuart,

Please check you have all the prerequisites for using MSS. You can check them here. Specifically, have you installed the Semantic Language Statistics DB?

I modified a script from a previous discussion to tailor it to your specific table/database. Please, try deleting the FileTable from the database and creating it again using this script, so we can pinpoint if there's any error there. If it works without any errors, try MSS again.

Let me know how it works for you.

USE Demo
GO
CREATE TABLE DemoFileTable AS FileTable
WITH
(
          FileTable_Directory = 'DemoFileTable',
          FileTable_Collate_Filename = database_default
);
GO
EXEC sp_fulltext_service 'load_os_resources',1
EXEC sp_fulltext_service 'restart_all_fdhosts'
CREATE FULLTEXT CATALOG ft AS DEFAULT
GO
CREATE UNIQUE INDEX DocumentsFt ON Demo.. DemoFileTable(stream_id)
GO
CREATE SEARCH PROPERTY LIST DocumentProperties;
GO
ALTER SEARCH PROPERTY LIST DocumentProperties
   ADD 'Title'
   WITH ( PROPERTY_SET_GUID = 'F29F85E0-4FF9-1068-AB91-08002B27B3D9', PROPERTY_INT_ID = 2,
      PROPERTY_DESCRIPTION = 'System.Title - Title of the item.');
ALTER SEARCH PROPERTY LIST DocumentProperties
    ADD 'Author'
   WITH ( PROPERTY_SET_GUID = 'F29F85E0-4FF9-1068-AB91-08002B27B3D9', PROPERTY_INT_ID = 4,
      PROPERTY_DESCRIPTION = 'System.Author - Author or authors of the item.');
ALTER SEARCH PROPERTY LIST DocumentProperties
    ADD 'Tags'
   WITH ( PROPERTY_SET_GUID = 'F29F85E0-4FF9-1068-AB91-08002B27B3D9', PROPERTY_INT_ID = 5,
      PROPERTY_DESCRIPTION = 'System.Keywords - Keywords (Tags) of the item.');
GO
CREATE FULLTEXT INDEX ON Demo.. DemoFileTable
    (file_stream TYPE COLUMN file_type LANGUAGE 1033 statistical_semantics)
    KEY INDEX DocumentsFt ON ft
    WITH SEARCH PROPERTY LIST = DocumentProperties
GO

Thanks!

Hi Daniel

Thanks for the very prompt response. That did the trick. Guess it must have been something to do with the two system sp's, as the rest remained the same.

EXEC sp_fulltext_service 'load_os_resources',1
EXEC sp_fulltext_service 'restart_all_fdhosts'

Tag cloud now working ... brilliant!

Keep up the great work.

Hi again!

We encountered this problem when we were developing the app.

Please try the following:
  • Check the permissions for the green file, and compare them with the permissions for the other files. See if there's anything different.
  • Make a copy of the green file. Is the copy also correctly indexed and showing the correct tags?
  • Try the solution postead earlier in this same thread.
Let me know how that goes.
